Thanks to all the ctme out and shot, we all drove a long way. We had an awesome bluebonnet shoot at 1:30 outside the park, til they opened the gate at 2:20. We look a site on the side of the rode with all the light gear and models in High Fashion thanks to the plush feilds of BlueBonnets. Got models in makeup thanks the awesome makeup artist Alicia. We started the shoot on time at 3 by the river at the entrance and the group went up the trail at 3:30. We had 13 models and 23 photogs shoot an amazing workshop. I can't wait to see the photos. I am still in Fredericksburg and will get model release scanned and emailed when I return.

Figured I would start things off with a Slightly SOOC shot of Britney. This shoot in addition to the weekend at the Ranch was an awesome experience. One of the best events I have attended since 2007 when I started working with the Binders. Thanks to all the model, photographers, MUA's and other people who make these events what they are. For those that may ask. The camera white balance was set to Tungsten +3 and the main light was gelled with a full cut of CTO.

Top stuff Chris  . I think your quality work has scared the rest of us away :p . I had a brilliant time btw and great to meet you all after such a long time. I agree it has to be one of the best events I've attended, top models, cool photo dudes and dudettes. MUA (April?) did a wonderful job. I'll post some images in the next few days after I get my other jobs out of the way.

Big thanks to Robin and Marc.

Good work Glenn. It was great getting to meet and work with you this weekend.

Thanks Chris. You were great to work with also. We had a really good group of folks with great attitudes ready to work and talk photography for 3 days. Lets keep on Marc and Robin to be sure and give us all first shot at the spots next year or maybe even have another when the weather cools off a bit in September.

It seems to have a mind of it's own, but I like the slideshow so I'm trying to make it work!

Someone will hafta slap me before SOS gets here, "Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet?"

Especially when I see how good the images are from all the workshops.

First and foremost I have to say this was one of the best photo experiences I have ever been to. It was an amazing weekend, and I took over 1900 images over the weekend. I looked through them while I uploaded from the camera and they were amazing.

and then my archive disk crashed, Not talking about having issues or running slow, CRASHED. I was devastated. not only were the 1900 images from the weekend on there, but also about 30,000 images I have taken over the last year. in fact it was pretty much every high resolution image I had. I took the drive to a data recovery specialist, who promptly sent it to Montana and their level 1 clean room facility. flash forward a week and a half or so and I just received the notification my drive has been deemed unrecoverable.

To all the models I worked with on this amazing weekend all I can offer is my most sincere and heartfelt apology for losing the images you helped me create. I hope to have the opportunity in the future to work with you all again, and I assure you the new 5 layer archive system I am implementing will assure this never happens again.

Sorry,

I totally felt the pain and sadness. I used to have this tragedy once And i almost lost that important project regarding the one and the only memory of all classmates in my class when i was at school. Now I've learned the lesson. I always kept photos in the memory card until i successfully upload/transfer files to at least two backup media/drives/websites.

Robert,

I can't really even fathom what that must be like. I missed a shot of a beautiful rainbow bursting over a steeple in Myrtle Beach once because all my batteries were dead and THAT made me ill!

So sorry this happend. (Hugs)

So you know what this means... You have to come next year. did you try the recovery disk?

goon73

most definitely on next year!! Kim and I both want to go. I did try a recovery service on the hard drive and after a couple weeks in a clean room they determined it was 100% unrecoverable.
